Is There A Doctor In The House?

So your president gave his national health care reform speech last Wednesday night before the joint members of Congress and the Nation. That of course was followed by the Republican response and then the media's 'in depth analysis.' Of course, unless you watched Fox News, this 'in depth analysis' was mostly a confirmation of The Chosen One's success and eloquence, which I am sure was already predetermined by his personal propaganda machine media before your president even stepped up to his teleprompters.

As I watched your president's speech I wondered how many of my fellow countrymen are as sick to death as I am of this on going health care 'crisis'? A crisis so severe that it absolutely must be resolved right now! Or as it was originally stated actually needed to be resolved last August before the Congressional recess and anybody had a chance to read it, even though, when this health care reform is passed, it will not take effect until 2013. You can rest assured that whenever it becomes operational, it will be just another big, expensive government FUBAR operation. Anyway, it seems that 'we' have been discussing this forever and there seems to be no end to the debate, or should I say the debacle.

After the speech I first watched the commentary on Fox News. Then, out of curiosity, I switched to MSNBC and in the two full hours of their shows, neither Olbermann nor Maddow, had one person with an opposing view to Obama's health care reform. They did however have plenty of pro-ObamaCare promoters starring Obama's Senior Advisors David Axelrod and Valerie Jarrett. The supporting cast included Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Barbara "Call Me Senator" Boxer (D-CA), Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA), Washington editor of 'The Nation', Chris Hayes, health care advocate Elizabeth Edwards, and last, but certainly not least, Obama's former Deputy Campaign Manager, Steve Hildebrand. Not one Republican, opposing view or Obama critic, how can they dare say that MSNBC is "the place for politics"?

Meanwhile, critics may claim that Fox News is not all that "fair and balanced," but after the Republican response, O'Reilly's lead interview was with David Axelrod. Jarrett has continuously refused to appear on Fox.

As the polls showed before this speech, for most Americans the debate about this ObamaCare was over, with the conclusion being that we didn't want it. In the days following this speech Obama had actually gotten the expected upward bounce in the polls concerning health care reform. But just as it was also expected in these matters that approval bounce once again disappeared in the next few days, leaving us right back to where we were before he had once again majestically appeared before us. As of this writing the most recent Rasmussen polls show that 85% of Americans are satisfied with their present health care.

The trouble with this majority disapproval of ObamaCare is this, since when does Congress ever listen to the majority in a non-election year? The next Congressional elections are more than a year away and these egotistical Democratic Liberals are sure that by then they can convince the voters that they were once again right in selling our freedoms down the river. Either that or they are sure that we will forget all about their audacity in pushing this national health fraud down our throats. You are all sadly mistaken if you think these single-minded Liberals learned anything by the angry "mobs" that showed up at their town hall meetings. To these arrogant, disconnected Congressional aristocrats what the American Patriots said meant nothing. To the Liberal Democrats, those of us who spoke out were merely a fringe element, fools, or radical rightwing extremists and racists, a mob, or "Astroturf", paid demonstrators sent by insurance companies and pharmaceutical lobbyists.

So I state when the reform is passed because it is now clear that Congress will pass something concerning national health care reform before they move on to their next self-declared crisis. Up front they may make concessions but that will be only a ploy until they can slide in all of their liberal agenda at a later date. The public option may be dead now but it is essential to the Liberals for their control. Whatever they pass this year will look nothing like the socialist takeover of our health care system that will become policy in 2013.

As for now the Liberal majority in Congress must pass some form of national health care because it is nothing more than a power grab, and that is what this "crisis" really is all about, a power struggle to sustain their liberal control through BIG government. You didn't really think that they were all that concerned with making sure that everyone had health care did you? This real crisis arises due to the Liberals now finding themselves in control of both the White House and both Houses of Congress. This joint control is such a rare instance for them that it can be plainly seen how panicked and disorganized they have all become in their frenzied pursuit to get everything done all at once and by their incompetence in not passing this health care reform bill simply with the straight party line majority that they now hold. They cannot even come up with a firm estimate as to how many Americans do not now have health care benefits, with those estimates constantly changing and ranging anywhere from twenty-seven million to sixty-million. So far how the Democrats have dealt with this health care reform bill is tantamount to a family of five voting four to one to eat dinner at McDonald's only for them all to go to bed hungry because once there they could not decide what to get.

Liberals brag about how the Republican Party has deteriorated and how unorganized the GOP has become, but the Democrats are struggling to even get this bill up for a vote while owning a clear majority in both Houses! In celebrating their electoral victories what they have failed to realize is that while they may have won the elections to take control of the White House and Congress they did not win the right to control the minds of free thinking Americans. They are stunned and bewildered by the mass rejection of their overbearing and unconstitutional policies. They are literally confused by the sheer anger of free men and women who want to retain our freedoms and Constitution. Since they are also not known for their courage and convictions they have actually come to fear the American people whom they are supposed to be representing, thus resulting in their open hostility, disdain and slander of those of us who oppose their liberal agenda. Another part of their problem in getting this bill up for a vote is that this health care reform is such a stinker that even some of the more moderate Democrats find it revolting.

Meanwhile in fighting this all out Liberal assault, the outnumbered Conservatives in Congress must now have some idea how Crockett, Bowie, Travis and their heroic men felt at the Alamo. Those brave men held out for thirteen days to help save the Republic of Texas. Conservative Republicans must now find some way to hold out for a little more than thirteen months to help save the Republic of The United States. Moreover these outnumbered Conservatives must deal with the traitorous defectors in their ranks as seen in the voting of the stealfromus bill. We can only pray, and get out the conservative vote next year, that unlike the ill-fated men at the Alamo, help finally does arrive for the People of America.

As for Obama's speech, besides being extremely egotistical, and way too long, I felt that he was up, down and all over the place, yet he still did not fully explain what this bill would do. In the same speech, and often in the same sentence, he would condemn others for using fear tactics in their arguments only to then use the same type of fear tactics in trying to sell this money eating and freedom-destroying socialistic monster. He credited a few Republicans, like McCain, only to quickly attack other Republicans. He arrogantly accused his opponents, including American citizens, of lying when everything about this crisis is a lie. He asked for help across the party line only to then turn right around to threaten the opposing party, all in the same breath. What we must understand is that even if the wording of the bill does not specifically state that it includes, let's say, funding for abortions or providing care to illegal aliens, this does not mean that these items will not be included. It is the classic language of lawyer speak, wherein what is not expressly forbidden is still included, and remember the Democratic Party is predominately made up of lawyers. So mostly Obama lied about everything from the existence of death panels, health care rationing, violations of our privacy, funding abortions, cost cutting measures, new taxes, providing health care for illegal aliens and the total cost that will be added to the already enormous deficit. Not to mention that he repeatedly referred to our existing national health care as being in "crisis."

In retrospect the only truth that was uttered that night in those hallowed halls of Congress was when Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) shouted at your president, "You lie!"

Now I, as will most Americans, agree that there are many things that we can improve concerning how our health care system works. But have I missed something here? Why is American health care suddenly in crisis? Since Obama has been elected are citizens now dying by the thousands in the streets because they cannot find a doctor? Is it not true that here in the United States since the late 1960's, by law no one, including illegal aliens, can be turned away without receiving medical attention when needed? Are we suddenly running short on medical supplies, facilities, nurses and doctors? Is it now a crisis because suddenly there are more people today that need medical care, and are not receiving it, than say, a year ago? Of course not, we are not in a crisis stage concerning public health care. We are simply in a crisis of Liberal say so. That does not constitute a crisis or the need to rush into a financially devastating, freedom destroying, and unconstitutional health care reform no matter how badly your president wants it.

As we have seen by the House voting to reprimand Rep. Joe Wilson for his outburst, apparently it is not proper protocol to say, "You lie!" when your president is lying during his speech. But it is proper to let him stand before Congress and lie to the American People.

God Bless America

Semper Fi,
Mike

Excellent comments on this craziness~ I remember in 1992 when I had 5 school age children~ I thought having National Health Care would be Great~ We didn't have very good health insurance at the time. And of course~ Nothing happened back then~ I'm hoping that Congress in it's infinite wisdom will not get it done this time either. There's a song in the play '1776' where John Adams says that he thinks that God has put a curse on North America~ John then exclaims that the he could accept floods, famines, or earthquakes~ but NO~ God sent us Congress~ and Good God is that Fair?? Thanks, Michael, for keeping us on point~ :->

    Ok two things here.
First, should we have a gov't option healthcare where the taxpayer pays money in so the gov't can just borrow money from the national treasury and keep running up our debt?
Two, why should it be required that all employers provide healthcare for there employee's, if that's the case then why don't we also require them to provide their employee's with a house, a car, and a t.v.?

Michael, another good article, one that must be said. I am for health coverage for all but not the way it has been presented by Obama and the leadership of the House.. and what a person sees on the news. As far as the administration goes Saul Alinsky's book Rules for Radicals is their game plan. Take rule #5 for instance..
RULE 5: "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon." There is no defense. It's irrational. It's infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. (Pretty crude, rude and mean, huh? They want to create anger and fear.)

I think John Q Public has woken up to this fact that Obama and company is talking to America like that... also as far as The Health Care Crisis so called... Billery Clinton said it best... "Never let a Crisis Go To Waste".. or words to that effect

    Thank You and Semper Fi
