An Incomplete Review Of Obama's First 90 Days:

Well here it is a sunny, and warm, Sunday afternoon in Arizona. The sun is shining so brightly that one has to wonder just how anything could be wrong in this old world. It's time to take a deep breath, catch up on things, and maybe even watch the Cubs and the Cardinals finish this weekend's four game series. It has been a great series, even this early in the season, with the Cards taking the first game and the Cubbies dramatically winning the next two games with homers in the 8th and 11th innings. With the Cubs win yesterday the two teams are tied for first place. There is a long way to go this season, but what a way to start. Football may now be 'America's Game', but baseball is still such a joy to relax and lose yourself in. Besides after 100 years of "Wait 'til Next Year" this could be the year the Cubs finally win that elusive World Series. After all nobody thought we would ever elect the ultimate socialist for president either. Hah, you thought I was going to say something else didn't you. But you see, that's the thing, its not his race, its his politics, which offends. So before the game starts I'll try to get a few things off of my mind.

I really do try to stay current in my blog postings concerning recent events. But even with Congress on a 'recess' I am falling behind. Recess, what an obviously appropriate term for a group of fiscally irresponsible clowns acting like a bunch of pre-adolescent brats who where dropped off at the Mall with Daddy's (read: Taxpayers') credit card. Anyway, try as I might I just can't keep up with all of the shenanigans of this present administration, this new maybe legal president, or the members of his spend now pay back forever, and ever, and evermore Congress. It seems that every time we turn around one of these scoundrels has pulled off yet another blunder, insulted our citizens, embarrassed our nation or plunged us even deeper into debt! Throw in what is happening with the Somali pirates, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the North Korean maniac midget errant missile launcher, the summits in Europe and South America, the slanted leftist media lies concerning the national Tea Parties and everything else under the sun, along with the idiotic media hype over some dog, and what my soon to be four year old granddaughter is up to and I am swamped! For one thing, I can't type that fast!

A couple of years ago I wrote an article called, "Lunch Money" wherein I called for voters to vote for our next President based on the candidate who was least likely to give up our lunch money to a bully. Well, obviously, no one headed my advice so we now have in office a guy who is taking all of our lunch money and giving it to someone else!

It has now been 90 days since this nightmare began with Obama unlawfully being sworn in as President, and if nothing else we have to admit that he and his fellow Socialists have been busy. As I've said before, it's been like a bunch of sugar-starved kids being turned loose in a candy store with no adult supervision. So just off the top of my head lets look at this rabid assault on our citizenry, our American ideals, our sacred Constitution, our intellect, our security and our shrinking bank accounts in just the last three months.

Back in January, just to get things off on the wrong foot, Obama, the Messiah who would heal our nation's racial strife, could not even get off of the inaugural platform without having a racial slur thrown out at the American people. As Obama smiled and nodded in agreement the good Reverend Joseph Lowery finished his prayer with, "Help us work for that day when black will not be asked to give back, when brown can stick around, when yellow will be mellow, when the red man can get ahead, man, and when white will embrace what is right."

But with Obama in office we're all One now… right?

Later that evening, just to give everybody a hint at how he really feels about our military and our Veterans, out of like twenty Inaugural Balls, Obama purposely shunned the Medal Of Honor Ball where many of our country's few living Medal Of Honor recipients were in attendance. It was the only Ball that Obama did not attend. He was also the first President who had not attended this Ball since, oh I don't know, like since God was in diapers.

After a few weeks in office and finding out that a half dozen or so new Cabinet appointees had not paid their taxes, Obama's new Attorney General called us "a nation of cowards" because in his and this administration's mind we don't talk enough about race relations. Not to mention that Obama and his cohorts don't think very highly of their fellow U.S. citizens as a whole. One might think that Holder's "cowards" statement was held back for a cooling off period after Lowery's public insult except that much like when Wright's racist rants became known during the campaign, since the media refused to even whisper any form of a condemnations, no such cooling off period was again needed.

Now, apparently to give us a much-needed boost in those race relation discussions, just last week the DHS released a bogus, racist report to law enforcement agencies to help in their profiling of white, right wing extremists, which included just about everyone who is fair of skin and holds an opinion on anything that is different from this administration's socialist agenda. This report also viciously and falsely slandered Veterans and our current military.

After reading this DHS report, which can be found here, a number of things jump to mind. First, it does not say who authored this report. There would be more than one person responsible for its racist content and at least one person should be in charge, yet it remains anonymous. But then this is a government agency after all and as we all know finding accountability in the obscure bureaucracy of a government agency is almost impossible. We should well remember that simple fact if this national health care plan is approved.

Second was the utter racist content and intent of this document. If the Bush administration had used the wording or objective of this document in reference to any American minorities or even illegal aliens, or Islamic terrorists they would have been crucified. When reading this DHS document try replacing "Veteran" with "homosexual." Tell me that liberals and gay rights groups would not have gotten their knickers in a huge, angry knot.

Next is the act of profiling itself, which has been repeatedly condemned by the left when used against minorities. As the left sees it, we cannot use profiling to identify illegal aliens, Islamic terrorists or minority criminals. But when it comes to white, right wing extremists, well now, somehow profiling becomes politically correct. Likewise, where is the report on the white, left wing extremists, i.e. in the manner of William Ayes, who in my lifetime have created more anarchy and committed more violence against us domestically than the one instance of Timothy McVeigh, which was cited in this document more than once?

Lastly was the ridiculous, superficial evidence, which was viewed by the DHS as the justifiable basis for their warnings. Two examples, among others, of this absurd rationale are noted by John Hinderaker in his blog Powerline. In the first the DHS cited this quote from the left wing Southern Poverty Law Center.

The DHS report stated: "A prominent civil rights organization reported in 2006 that large numbers of potentially violent neo-Nazis, skinheads, and other white supremacists are now learning the art of warfare in the [U.S.] armed forces."

But as Mr. Hinderaker points out: "The "prominent civil rights organization" is the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center. But what support is there for SPLC's assertion that there are "large numbers" of "white supremacists" serving in the armed forces--as opposed to, say, a "tiny handful"? The SPLC's full report is entirely anecdotal; the closest thing to data is this:

" '[Scott] Barfield, who is based at Fort Lewis, said he has identified and submitted evidence on 320 extremists there in the past year.'

"But even this alleged statistic appears to be false. Barfield was a gang investigator, and what he actually said was: "I have identified 320 soldiers as gang members from April 2002 to present." So we now have the Department of Homeland Security defaming our servicemen on the basis of a press release by a left-wing pressure group that misrepresented the principal empirical support for its claim. Nice."

Furthermore the DHS warning uses a 2008 FBI report on Veterans joining white extremist groups. As Mr. Hinderaker continues:

"The Homeland Security report further supports its suspicion of returning veterans by referring to an FBI report released last year:"

'The FBI noted in a 2008 report on the white supremacist movement that some returning military veterans from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have joined extremist groups.'

"So, how many are "some"? You can read the FBI report, titled "White Supremacist Recruitment of Military Personnel since 9/11," here. Notwithstanding the deliberate vagueness of the Homeland Security document, the FBI was actually very specific:"

'A review of FBI white supremacist extremist cases from October 2001 to May 2008 identified 203 individuals with confirmed or claimed military service active in the extremist movement at some time during the reporting period. This number is minuscule in comparison with the projected US veteran population of 23,816,000 as of 2 May 2008, or the 1,416,037 active duty military personnel as of 30 April 2008. ...'

"According to FBI information, an estimated 19 veterans (approximately 9 percent of the 203) have verified or unverified service in the ongoing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan."

"There you have it: a whopping 19 actual or alleged veterans of Iraq or Afghanistan have joined the "extremist movement." (The FBI notes that some of these "may have inflated their resumes with fictional military experience to impress others within the movement.")

End of Mr. Hinderaker's report.

So there you have a little taste of the biased and false data, which is the basis for this racist profiling 'warning', which has come out of the new DHS under the Obama administration. In truth with only 19, perhaps, maybe, legitimate Veterans who had joined an extremist group out of the 25 million plus Veterans in our country we Vets have a better chance of getting struck by lightening than in joining up with an extremist group to blow up the Pentagon. Besides that goal is more of a left wing extremist's idea of fun, like Ayers. After compiling such auspicious data, what the DHS should have sent out was a warning to all the Veterans Organizations to tell Veterans to stay indoors during a lightening storm; it would have served a greater, and truer purpose.

Domestically we are as a whole, now far deeper in debt than when President Bush went home to his Texas ranch. With a ridiculous multi-trillion budget, cap and trade and energy taxes on the Congressional horizon, it is only going to get worse. Where once I was a smug American in thinking that election fraud was only commonplace in Third World countries I now know of ACORN and a little senatorial election race that has been usurped by a bore better known for his non-humorous days on SNL and his total lack of political experience. We continue to send guys like this to Washington and then wonder why our country is in decline.

Ignoring our Constitution, our census has been hijacked by Obama's White House for political purposes and the NSA wiretaps, which were once widely condemned by the left as unconstitutional, are now okay-dokey because Obama said so. Our Constitutional right of an anonymous vote will soon come to an end. Banks have not been allowed to return TARP money and States have been threatened if they did not except the Federal stealfromus money. Obama, an elected official, and face it folks that is all the President is, has unconstitutionally fired the head of GM in the private sector. Congress threatened to unconstitutionally levy a 90% tax on a segregated group of corporate execs because people were angry and Obama has unconstitutionally taken our government into the business of guaranteeing the warranties of a private automobile corporation!

The left is gearing up to ban gun ownership, and abolish the Second Amendment, in part by spreading the false estimate that 90% of the guns now in the hands of murderous Mexican drug gangs are coming from America. This has been disproved but like the New York Times the left insists on propagating this lie to further their aim on gun control. Pelosi and others, who have sworn to uphold our Constitution and the laws of our country, have demanded that ICE and other law enforcement agencies stop harassing illegal aliens by enforcing our nation's laws. Meanwhile Sheriff Joe is under Federal investigation for profiling and violating illegal aliens' civil rights. I guess he should have waited until hell froze over when the DHS would release a warning allowing such profiling of illegal aliens to our law enforcement agencies. All in all it is just a matter of time until the Obama, Pelosi and Reid Gang give them all amnesty so that ACORN can sign them all up to vote four or five times.

Militarily after Obama tells our troops how much, "…our nation owes them a debt of gratitude", and allowing Congress to give themselves and diplomats a large pay raise while throwing trillions of dollars around like confetti, he gives our Warriors a measly 2.9% pay increase. Law enforced this pitiful 2.9%; otherwise it probably wouldn't have been that much. Obama then tried to make our wounded Warriors pay for their own treatment of service-connected injuries. He has cut the defense budget, has redirected our military spending and amid major military buildups in Russia and China, along with ongoing nuclear armament programs in Iran and North Korea, he has made gestures of good faith to ban nuclear weapons. Meanwhile he has further endangered our sons and daughters in the military by giving our enemies a timetable and troop strengths in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has 'closed down' Gitmo with plans to bring some of these terrorists to live in the United States while subsidizing their livelihood with American taxpayers' dollars. He also wants to 'pay off' the 'moderate' Taliban terrorists in Afghanistan, which will only result in us financing their war against us.

If all that wasn't enough he has just released the Top Secret documents concerning torture used against the terrorists! Islamic terrorists now have a clear picture of what they can expect if captured by the US military and so they can now train and be prepared for what they may have to endure. They now know the extent of how far the US is willing to go when it comes to torture. This is important, as we have now lost the psychological fear of the unknown. Islamic terrorists will be training by using sleep deprivation and water boarding their own people just to give them the experience to decrease the panic if captured. It is much the same when our own troops are sent through tear gas chambers to learn how to deal with that unpleasant experience or are assigned to Survival Training.

That's all some kind of gratitude from the CIC.

In the past 90 days Obama has shown a distinct lack of aggressive and decisive leadership when dealing with international threats against our nation and our citizens. He has done and said little about the violence on our Mexican border. After issuing a 'warning' to North Korea not to launch their missile, but after they launched it anyway, he passed the entire problem off to an inept and dysfunctional UN, who of course did nothing. Try to imagine Reagan or even Clinton not personally dealing with this breach of embedded international sanctions. We now have an American citizen who has just been falsely imprisoned for eight years in an Iran for 'spying', yet Obama has not addressed this and still plans on continuing discussions with Iran's President Alphabet. Likewise Obama has ignored the Iranian nuclear problem but has plans to 'talk' with them while they continue to develop a weapon that they have vowed to use against our ally, Israel.

But it was this past week's pirate kidnapping of an American sea merchant captain that reminded me the most of the indecisive Carter administration's dealings with the Iranian hostage situation. Yes Obama did issue the order to fire, but only if the captain's life was in immediate danger. Well folks the captain's life was in immediate danger when those pirates first came into view of his ship. Yet this ordeal continued for five or six days.

Since we were dealing with international criminals who are not under a flag of any nation the order should have been to dispatch the pirates as soon as the Navy Seal sniper teams were in position and the targets presented the opportunity. We cannot negotiate with lawless terrorists or pirates. You may disagree if you wish but in my mind Obama once again left it up to someone else to make the final decision to determine the outcome of this misadventure. If not for the courage of the Navy commander on board who gave the final command to fire, and the outstanding accuracy of the elite Navy Seals, the outcome could have been tragic. Or, it seems, the brave captain and his unwanted pirate crew could still be out there floating around behind a US warship.

Furthermore it was Obama's and his Secretary of State Hillary's statements after the rescue, which were particularly disconcerting. To paraphrase, Obama stated that we must seek help from other nations in dealing with these pirates. Apparently he doesn't think we can handle this ourselves or he doesn't want to make the decision himself. By the way, I didn't see him get any further commitments from Europe at the G20 when it came to sending their troops to Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, and this is absurd, Hillary stated that we must help these young Somalians find another profession to pursue besides being a pirate! Say what? Well let's just bring them all over to America and give them a college education on the taxpayers' dime. I'll bet these teenage swashbucklers would fit right in to any frat house on campus. But then that is the Democratic way of dealing with our enemies anyway isn't it? I'll tell you what; if we dispatch a few more of these seagoing vermin to Davy Jones' Locker I guarantee that they will make their own choices of a new profession, and in a hurry.

The Liberal Left's much anticipated 'return of diplomacy' was a despicable, embarrassing disaster. After insulting the British Prime Minister here at home, Obama and his First Lady flew across 'The Lake' to fondle and insult the Queen. The Old Gal hasn't been the same since! Well at least they didn't bow to her. To help with future protocol someone needs to sit the Obama's down and tell them about a gal named Dolly M. and then explain that old saying about, "When in Rome…"

Obama was willing to give away everything, including our dignity, but he walked away from the G20 with nothing in return. After first telling the G20 crowd how "arrogant" we Americans are, like a broken record, he then went to France and told the French how "arrogant" we Americans are! The French no less! Or the obnoxious Klingons of the real world, who are so arrogant that most of the time they won't speak to most of the rest of the world! While in Turkey Obama informed the Turks that we Americans were not a Christian nation! Of course this came as quite a shock to all the Christians in America, not to mention anyone with even a remote interest in our history. He also stated that we were not at war with Islam! Well guess what Islam is at war with us, we better catch up real quick! Meanwhile he is wheeling and dealing missiles with Russia, who ignored him. To get even Obama ignored the insults thrown at himself and our Nation by shaking hands with Chavez and those other South American Socialists while jonesin' to hang out with those old hipsters, the Castro brothers, before they shuffle off to Hell.

But Obama's two completely sickening and unforgivable displays of utter contemptibility were these.

At the European Summit Obama apologized for our nation for being who we are. It was entirely uncalled for and completely out of place, yet for some unknown reason he felt compelled to denigrate himself and our country before the world. So he apologized to a group of nations who twice in the last century we either defeated in wars that they started or saved them from enslavement in those wars. He apologized to a collection of nations that in the last sixty-odd years have lived in a relative safety provided by our military presence and our benevolence.

One hundred and forty four years after slavery was abolished in America, Obama then apologized to these European nations for the 'American' institution of slavery and for the way we treated Native Americans. Forgetting history Obama had just apologized to the very nations who had initiated, progressed and embedded, and profited from that evil practice on our shores of the New World long before our nation was even a gleam in George Washington's eyes. Obama had just apologized to the very nations who had spread this slavery throughout their world of new discovery and conquest. He had apologized for the only nation in history, our America, who by force and bloodshed had taken it upon themselves to rid their country of this evil practice, which these European nations had themselves instigated in the Americas.

Likewise while we have much to atone for in our treatment of Native Americans we do not have to apologize to a collection of nations who upon landing ashore centuries ago in the New World subjected these same Native Americans to enslavement, servitude and genocide. Obama's entire European affair was a ridiculous, shameful and embarrassing episode in American foreign diplomacy. But it would pale in comparison to what Obama did before a Saudi king.

The sight of an American President bowing to a Saudi King was enough to make me want to vomit. It was as if all of our independence, freedoms, pride, honor and sacred history had just been erased from the face of the Earth. Obama could not have dishonored our nation any more than if he had spit on our Constitution. In a not too distant era of Honor and Nationalistic pride he would have been run from his office the moment he came back ashore. After two and a half centuries of conflict and struggle to insure our national heritage, independence, pride and Freedoms Obama willfully submitted to a foreign king and bowed in submission. It was an insult to every American who has ever taken a breath of the fresh air of Freedom.

It seems that Obama took off on his little globe trotting adventure humming, "I Want to Teach The World To Sing In Perfect Harmony." Upon coming home I wonder if he has yet figured out that while there may be some who want to sing along, many of them are not only off key, but on the wrong page in the song book. More importantly I hope he understands that there are many others who not only refuse to sing along, and never will, but that some also want to silence our song forever.

In all of this time Obama's fawning media still covers for him and many in our country excuse him and his Congressional partners. Obama's administration has redefined our war on terror, not by actions or deeds but by simply changing the wording. Wars are now 'overseas commitments', terrorist acts are now 'man made disasters' and I believe that we are now just supposed to refer to Islamic terrorists as, "those other guys." After 90 days in office we still hear on a daily basis how Bush is to blame for everything and that Obama has inherited all of these problems. Well guess what, years ago Bush also inherited a mess so stop whining. Correct me if I'm wrong but Obama did actively seek this job. What did he think he was going to be doing once elected? Until Congress and the American people get their acts together to fix what is so obviously broken, every president is going to inherit a mess.

Ninety days of the Obama nightmare are now gone and it hasn't been pretty. While the sun may still be shining on this afternoon, this has been ninety days when Obama's arrogance, inexperience and socialist agenda has come shining through everyday. His promise of a transparent administration has become invisible. The one thing that he has accomplished is that he has gotten the rest of us who didn't vote for him, HOPE-ing for Change.

On Monday Congress will once again be in session. Before them is a vote on the extreme 'man made disaster' now known as a multi-trillion dollar budget. Make no mistake about it; to the American taxpayers that budget is domestic terrorism. Congress will also once again look at granting full amnesty to illegal aliens, and raising taxes on our energy sources through cap and trade. God help us.

Well the Cubs and Card's baseball game has been postponed because of weather.

Man… isn't it a shame we can't do the same to this session of Congress.
