"May We Have Some Nuts On That?"
I defy anyone with a brain to watch three hours of MSNBC evening 'news'. I would have said anyone with half a brain but after sitting through the malicious, biased hogwash vomited forth consecutively for three hours by The Three Stooges of MSNBC, Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow and Chris Matthews half your brain is sucked out of your head. Since we already have enough empty-headed people out there among us, why push our luck? Any intelligent viewer who tunes in for a night of this vile, liberal mediocrity will find themselves reduced to sitting in their easy chair babbling incoherently by the time 'Hardball' Matthews makes his final inane hit on McCain or Palin. Viewers being void of any gray matter helps to explain why this network even gets those few that it does attract, it continually rates last or near the bottom for these time slots. Why MSNBC has three of these McCain/Palin assassins back to back to back is completely redundant as all three basically have the same show with the same prejudiced statements, video clips and Obama supporting guests one right after the other. For overkill MSNBC repeats these three programs until the early morning hours. I would suppose it goes back to that old axiom that if you want people to remember something you must repeat it at least three times. Such repetition is also very successful in political indoctrination.
Now I know that the topic of the mainstream media's bias has been a constant subject during both the primaries and now this Presidential election. But I wonder how many of us have actually sat down to watch these entire programs instead of just catching a video clip, a sound bite, an e-mail or reading someone's blog complaining about it? To get the full impact and the distortion of what these 'newspersons' are doing you really have to watch at least one of their shows entirely to understand the depths to which these propagandists will sink. What they are doing is appalling, hypocritical, childish and a disservice to the American voters, even if you are a liberal, a Democrat or one of Obama's Kool-Aid Kids.
Olbermann opened this bombastic marathon with a picture of the cartoon character Grandpa Simpson under the caption, "Old Man Shouts At Clouds." With a voice over Olbermann tells his audience that tonight we will find out if we now have the old McCain (Grandpa Simpson) or the new, old McCain, cutting to a silent film clip of the tortured, crippled man turned creature Gollum from 'The Lord of the Rings.' (There will be more on this later.) This insensitive, idiotic attack was just the beginning of three hours of crude, often sophomoric, even more often moronic; hate filled propaganda against McCain and Palin. The Three Stooges of MSNBC only interrupted these attacks when they were showing clips of Obama, their hero, or crying foul and condemning McCain and Palin for running a hateful campaign against Obama. Now let me make this clear, during this entire three hour liberal hero worship, there was not one, I repeat, not one criticism uttered against Obama or Biden. But there was an endless defense for the two on anything that was said against them. Honest journalism takes a big time hit every night on MSNBC.
All three of shows tonight covered these same stories. Here is a list of the mob lynchings:
1) 'Troopergate' - or Palin being found guilty of abuse of power by an Alaskan commission for trying to get her rogue cop, brother-in-law fired and her saying that she was cleared of any guilt by the report. By the way, it is time these media geniuses of the written word find a new term for every little political misadventure then just adding 'gate' to everything. There was a reason the original was called Watergate, it was the name of the complex that was broken into. It did not fit anything else afterward and it is a tired, old cliché that is almost forty years past its time.
2) 'Iced' - A video clip showing Palin and her children being boorishly booed by the Philadelphia Flyers' hockey fans when they walked out onto the ice for a ceremonial dropping of the puck before a game. Members of the audience were seen pointing both thumbs down and jeering as this woman with her two young, and obviously frightened, children walked to center ice. It was a disgusting display of stupidity. Yet all three of the Stooges got a big kick out of watching this one and only Matthews considered that it may have been the ill-mannered Flyers' fans who were out of line and wide of the goal. Otherwise it was generally held, and commented on, that Palin and the McCain campaign were stupid to think that she would get any other kind of reception in 'The City Of Brotherly Love', or anywhere else for that matter. No one bothered to mention that these Philly goofballs once booed Santa Claus at an Eagles' game. In Olbermann's showing of this hockey clip he was quick to add how Biden and his family had attended a football game in Biden's home state that same night, showing a clip as the Bidens took their seats, with no one booing. Olbermann sarcastically added that, "They (the Bidens) were smart enough to stay in their seats." Olbermann then laughingly joked, "We went to an anti-Palin rally and a hockey game broke out."
3) 'Louder' - Palin took another hit when all three Stooges showed a clip of a speech she was making in which she thought she was being heckled. She stopped her speech to confront a portion of the gathering that was in the back and reminded them that they should thank Veterans and those who are fighting for us today for their right to protest. At this point an aid came forward and over the microphone we can hear him explain to Palin that the people in the back are not jeering her but were just shouting for Palin to talk louder. Olbermann and Maddow really enjoyed this one and all three Stooges made it clear that in their minds Palin has no right even being in the same race as their Chosen Ones, Obama and Biden. The bottom line for the Three Stooges of MSNBC is that Palin is nothing more than a North Country hick who is in way over her head. I am sure that they are in agreement that Governor Palin is so stupid that she doesn't know her elbow from a moose antler. Palin is the constant butt of their simplistic, inane jokes and she was the subject of ridicule even more than McCain on all three of their shows. During this insignificant 'louder' piece both Olbermann and Maddow claimed that 'the wheels have come off' for Palin.
4) 'The Preacher' - A minister gave a prayer before a McCain rally stating something about how we should all pray to our God to get McCain elected because people all over the world were praying to their Gods for Obama to be elected. It was a stupid opening sermon and the Stooges made the most of it referring to it as a calling for a war of the Gods. I guess this was supposed to be a response to and to take some of the sting out of Wright's racist rants. It isn't and it doesn't, but I am sure that the Stooges feel that Obama and Wright have now been vindicated.
5) 'Kill Him'- When Democratic Rep. John Lewis of Georgia likened Republican McCain to the once Democratic Alabama Governor George Wallace as a racist segregationist the Stooges were all sure to report this and none of them disagreed with this irrelevant reference by Lewis. They did however take exception that some one connected to the McCain campaign had referred to Obama by using his full name of, Barack Hussein Obama, claiming that this was a clear example of McCain's campaign trying to insight public opinion against Obama. They all agreed that this usage of Hussein was racist ploy.
Monday McCain was giving a speech when he mentions Obama to which some idiot from the crowd supposedly shouts out "Kill him!" Again every Stooge covered this little item, even though nobody is sure what was really said. The MSNBC consensus was that this was McCain/Palin's fault because they have been leading a negative campaign against Obama including preaching and inspiring a hatred for Obama because of his race. It was also stated that when this happened McCain should have stopped what he was saying at that very moment to tell the crowd that this was wrong. Both McCain and Palin were repeatedly criticized for attacking the Messiah and for running what has now, according to MSNBC, become a racist campaign. According to these Democratic party line pundits because McCain/Palin are sure to loose, because they are desperate, because they do not have any viable policies for any of the problems that America is now facing, and because the people are tired of their lies, they have had to resort to attacking Obama's sterling character. On every show it was sure to be repeated that McCain and Palin were, "Sowing the seeds of hatred."
David Frum, a former Bush speechwriter, was a guest during Maddow's hour. By the look on his face and his delivery, I could not figure out if Frum was bored with being on this mundane lopsided telecast or just sleep deprived. As they were discussing whether or not McCain should have interrupted his speech when this crazy supposedly shouted out, "Kill him", Frum pointed out that Maddow has to understand that McCain is on a stage surrounded by thousands of people and he probably didn't even hear what was said. Maddow, who was obviously surprised by this defense of McCain on HER show, argued that McCain must have heard it and that he should have stopped his speech. When Frum added that no one even really knows for sure exactly what was shouted from the audience, Maddow became flustered by the lack of cooperation of Frum in her assault on McCain's character so she began to loudly argue with her guest. When Frum refused to criticize McCain or to back down from what he had stated, an upset Maddow quickly dismissed him, proving that there is only time for the company line on MSNBC.
6) 'Putting on Ayers' - As previously stated a gratuitous amount of time was spent during this Obamamite Trilogy in defending Obama against any and all allegations of wrong doing by His Holiness' opponents. Among them was the Ayers' association controversy where once again the viewer was subjected to all of the worn out excuses that their Messiah was only nine years old when Ayers was making things go boom, Ayers was just a dude in the neighborhood, that "Billy he hardly knew ye" and/or that there was nothing wrong with His Majesty hanging with this criminal in the first place. Let's face it folks, even though this is an important issue for any American who believes that anarchy and the bombing of private homes and public buildings while killing cops is immoral, we have to understand that we are arguing with dead head liberals so it is a dead end. How can we win an argument about the character of some one who would associate with a mad bomber terrorist with people who don't necessarily believe that the bombing itself was all that unwarranted? We have to remember that when the Weathermen were killing people there was a Republican in the White House, the much-hated Nixon no less, while America was fighting an unpopular war in Vietnam. To many liberals at times like that basically anything goes. Our present day election campaign, with a Republican in the White House, the much hated Bush no less, while America is fighting an unpopular war in Iraq, along with MSNBC's hypocritical, hateful biased coverage, it is a shinning example of the case in point. As both Ayers and Dohrn have admitted that their flame of hatred still burns bright after all of these years, I suppose we all should consider ourselves lucky that they haven't gotten the old gang back together again to finish the job they so want to still complete. But then they have a much larger goal in mind today. With the help of President Obama they can now instill through public education their misguided values upon our children. So don't be surprised if some day our kids come home from school and kill their parents.
7) 'The Polls Have It' - Polls, polls, polls, the Stooges love those polls. There were so many polls that even after seeing them repeatedly for three hours I can't remember what they were for, except for one. That was a poll, which was being discussed, among others, by Matthews and two guest newspaper journalists. Like all the polls being shown it was in favor of Obama. This one concerned the public's confidence in McCain and how it had fallen in the last week by nine percentage points. One of the journalist pointed out that this poll was deceptive because the pollsters were actually polling Obama supporters and asking them how much confidence they had in the other guy, McCain who they were not voting for anyway! The journalist asked the question we all should be asking about most of these polls of just what value they have in determining the election when you are asking people who have already declared that they are voting for Obama what they think about McCain? Obviously it doesn't matter what these Obama supporters think about McCain except that it helps to make McCain's campaign look all that more hopeless. Of course Matthews disregarded this comment and moved on. When it comes to polls I suggest we all do the same, disregard them and move on to the election booth to vote your conscience.
8) 'All Hail The Conquering Hero' - To interrupt the constant anti-McCain/Palin assault, thus giving the viewers a chance to breathe and to absorb the misinformation which had just been dumped on them, clips would be interspersed between the McCain/Palin attacks showing 'The Almighty' on the election circuit. Obama was always shown in a good setting. There were never any protesters or missteps in his speech or actions. Absolutely no guffaws. In the Obama clips he was perfect and so was the world around him. The crowds all loved him wherever he happened to be. They even had one cute little piece of how many times Obama had mentioned the word pie in a speech. Their joint conclusion, Obama was hungry for some pie. How cute. Now that's journalism. Remember that all night long the Stooges complained about McCain & Company running a negative campaign. So how ironic it must seem to the casual, non-committed viewer that in every Obama clip, except the one about pie, he was talking negatively about McCain! In every clip, on every program, Obama was always saying something bad about Old John's policies, running mate, his record, his association with Bush or the Republican 'attacks' on Obama himself. On MSNBC 'hypocrisy' is just some fancy word in the dictionary.
'Countdown With Keith Olbermann'
With one career down in flames as an ESPN sports announcer I can only imagine that on this program what Olbermann is counting down to are the days he has left on this network. As the only person ever to be barred for life from every ESPN property, Olbermann doesn't just burn his bridges behind him, he sucks the rivers dry to boot. MSNBC has already knocked this lunatic liar down a notch or two after his embarrassingly moronic, Democratic butt kissing, ramblings and infighting with the other crewmembers at the Democratic National Convention. Confined to his room back home in New York for the GOP National Convention Olbermann still had enough stupidity and GOP loathing on hand to feign indignation upon seeing the GOP's 9-11 Tribute by calling the tribute appalling and in bad taste. His arrogance then allowed him to believe he had the right to apologize to the Nation, or at least those few of us who were watching MSNBC that night for the GOP's impudence. Olbermann is pompous, ostentatious, pretentious, conceited and smug. All of which pretty much means the same thing but that is how much he is so arrogantly full of himself and thus comes across to the viewers. I apologize for not being very good at this and so I am unable to find the words to tell you how I really feel about this slanderous, idiotic 'news' commentator.
On this night's show one of Olbermann's guests was some hack who had spent too much time in Alaska trying to dig up dirt on the Palin family. After discussing 'Troopergate' but adding nothing new to this trivial matter, the two hit men moved on to some contrived home building scandal, which apparently is an MSNBC exclusive. As the guest hack explained the Palin's built a new home in little Wasilla the same year that Sarah was running for Governor. Now the catch is supposed to be that the Palin's used the same contractor to build their home that, after Sarah became Governor, would later be used to build some big complex in Wasilla! What? What? Why that is odd? Wait, it gets better. The Palin's also used the same supplier for their home building needs who would then also end up being the supplier for that complex! Well, now we know something is up!
At one point when the guest hack was talking about building supplies, Olbermann shot straight up in his chair, his face glowed as his eyebrows arched, his eyes grew bigger and a smile spread across his mug when he asked, "What? Are you saying that the Palin's had (stolen) the lumber from the complex project? Are you saying that the Palin's built their home with (stolen) lumber?" Olbermann used some slang term instead of 'stolen' that I have now forgotten and after twenty-seven years in construction as a homebuilder had never heard. But then I was never in the habit of stealing building materials and I am sure that Olbermann would tell me that he has forgotten more about the construction business than I ever knew. When the guest hack told Olbermann that no, the Palin's had not used stolen material to build their home you could actually see Olbermann deflate. The guest reminded the Stooge that the Palin's home was finished months before the complex project was even started.
Apparently this is how desperate MSNBC is to hang anything on Palin to discredit her and McCain. This whole conversation was laced with nuances and innuendo; such as, "So the Palin's picked out a remote corner of the town to build their house…" What does that mean anyway? The entire state is remote! Obviously it is a weak attempt to imply that the Palin's were trying to hide something. If one would just think about these accusations none of it makes any sense nor is there any logic behind the false but hope filled allegations of wrongdoing. MSNBC has made a living off of ridiculing just how small Wasilla is, with a population of just 9,780. The entire state of Alaska has less people, approximately 670,000, than we have here in Phoenix. I'd bet that Phoenix probably has more contractors and building suppliers than the whole state of Alaska. So what are the chances of a contractor and supplier in a town the size of Wasilla getting both of these jobs? I'd say the chances were very good. Or do Olbermann and his hack think that these companies only do one job and then go out of business? Also why is it so hard to imagine that the Mayor of a town would actually build a home in that town? To quote an old saying from my construction days, "Everybody has to live somewhere." Likewise you might as well live close to your job, especially if you are the Mayor.
To close out his hour Olbermann brought out the psychotic 'comic' Richard Lewis, which is just what this campaign needs, another liberal celebrity mouthpiece. Lewis just could not sit still, swinging back and forth in his chair and at times looking as if he was almost going to leap out of it to embrace Olbermann. He flailed his arms wildly during the whole interview, so much so that at times I wondered how many arms does this guy have? He looked like an octopus on acid, very distracting. If his physical activity wasn't disturbing enough than his words removed any thought of having a conversation with this guy. Of course Olbermann thought he was hysterical.
Lewis started out by saying, "I thought Wasilla was a yeast infection I got in Ohio state." Impressive Dick, how refreshing, the Stooge thought it was very funny though. Unfortunately this would be the last full sentence that Lewis could muster. He rambled, babbled and sputtered.
Lewis: "I spent… I spent the last twenty hours… yeah the last… thinking about what… what… I was going to say… to say in these three minutes…"
When talking about the woman at a McCain rally who had stated to McCain that Obama was an 'Arab.'
Lewis: "Forty percent of country not… not educated… compare people with…"
Then he was off on McCain being a racist: "Character assassination…"
On Palin, "This woman… this woman is looking in her refrigerator for a moose pie… and … and the phone rings… Mommy it's somebody down south…
Olbermann (laughing): "The lower forty eight."
Lewis: 'Yeah… yeah… the lower… and… and… badda bing she's the… she's…
Talking about the VP debate, "She lied… I mean… we… we… played this game… every time this woman lied… she lied… I yelled badda bing… I ended up… like… by the time it was over… I yelled badda bing 98 times… Biden's fabulous… the voice of reason…"
Lewis on Obama: "He's taken the high road."
Now jumping over to civil rights and apparently Lewis feels oppressed, "McCain's… I mean… civil rights… I mean… all the progress we made… Jackie Robinson…"
Jackie Robinson?
Apparently Lewis has become his psychotic stage character and is now hallucinating that he is really Red Fox.
'The Rachel Maddow Show'
Maddow and Olbermann are basically two peas from the same rotting pod as everything I said to describe Olbermann can be said about Maddow. However there are two slight differences. First, Maddow can be flustered as seen with tonight's guest Frum when he refused to follow the script. She lacks just a hint of the arrogance of Olbermann in that when things turn against her she looses confidence and you can see doubt in her eyes as one corner of her mouth slips below that smug smile of hers. The second difference is that Maddow is more popular with the ladies than Olbermann.
Maddow's guest tonight was Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer of California. The two women spent some time giddily glowing over the election of Comrade Obama and the addition of more Democrats in Congress. The thought of which and the sight of these two gloating was enough to make your skin crawl.
Later, and I kid you not, Maddow explained the wonderful possibilities of an Obama public works program like FDR's in the 1930's. Smiling brightly she actually told her audience how great it will be to have everyone back to work fixing all those cracks and potholes in our roads and highways! She explained of how the prices on everything will then go down because truckers will not have that nasty expense of broken axels. Here is a transcript of that show:
Maddow:
"When those building projects are done, we all benefit from improved quality of life because our roads and bridges are improved, and they're safer, too.
And the cost of doing business in America goes down because the truckers and the shipping companies, and the widget makers all benefit as much as you do from fewer axle-breaking potholes on the highway."
See, I told you, I am not kidding, she actually said this, and she was smiling! At this point I actually checked my calendar to make sure I had not transgressed back in time. I looked out the window to make sure I was in Mesa and not Stalingrad. I ran across the street knocking on my neighbor's door and was immensely relieved when he said, "Hello Mike" and not "Greetings Comrade." But just to make sure I then hit the info button on my remote to see if I was still on MSNBC not Moscow's 1st Programme. In my panic I did not hear if Maddow had discussed what our minimum wages would be on this community and state run road gang, or if we were going to have to relocate, or if some of us might have to spend some time in reeducation camps. Mmm… I wonder if I will be required to report to one of those camps on November 5th? Will I get time off for Thanksgiving? Christmas? Hey, maybe Comrade Boss will let me drive on of those really big bulldozers!
My Lord, save us please from the idiots who believe that government sponsored work programs are more beneficial to the working class than privately owned free enterprise, Amen.
Maddow seemed to be even more hateful towards Governor Palin than Olbermann or Matthews. She referred to both Palin and McCain as dishonorable. Imagine some one complaining about personal attacks on her Obama and yet she feels she is qualified to call a man who has suffered, sacrificed and bled for our country along with a respected Governor dishonorable. Honor. I wonder what has young Ms Maddow done in her life other than go to college and spew her liberal lies on television, which makes her feel so powerful that she can so libelously discredit and insult her superiors? Well, who knows, maybe she has a thing for Sarah like the rest of us.
'Hardball With Chris Matthews'
While Olbermann and Maddow smugly deliver their propaganda as if they are the only intellectuals in the room so they are then letting us all in on some private elitist joke, Matthews' delivery is one of bored recitation. Matthews' job is to simply bore the dogma into our brains, which has already been arrogantly presented twice by the O. M. team. On Matthews' hour he had Biden as a guest who spent a great deal of his time running down 'his friend' John McCain. Biden agreed with John Lewis comparing McCain to Wallace and he talked smack, from a video clip on Matthews' show:
Biden: "The problem with John McCain, God love him, as my mother would say, John's epiphany wasn't that he saw the light. What John saw was the presidency receding from his grasp. That's what he saw. That's what he saw!"
Most of Matthews other guests also discussed how McCain and Palin were using race, scare tactics and lies to get people not to vote for Obama. I will add that Matthews was the only one out of The Three Stooges to give any credit to McCain for telling the woman who said Obama was an Arab that she was wrong. It was the only time in three hours that anything positive was said about either Republican candidate.
Matthews ended his show with Tom Brokaw who was the moderator of the last Presidential Debate. Of Obama Brokaw twice referred to him as being cool and stated that he looked in command and took no notes. Of McCain he stated that there was a lot of nervous energy and that McCain had to take a lot of notes. McCain, Brokaw stated, had been flustered, caught off guard by his question of who would be his Secretary of Treasury and that McCain did not know how to get out of it.
Brokaw was there to promote his new book about the '60s called 'BOOM.' Matthews missed an excellent chance when he held up the book and did not ask if this was about the '60s in general or William Ayers' Weathermen?
For three hours this bombardment against McCain and Palin continued uninterrupted except for commercial breaks. Not once did The Three Stooges of MSNBC criticize Obama or Biden. Not once did they explain anything about McCain's policies or plans in a positive light. They constantly complained about and negatively analyzed McCain and Palin's words, actions and policies. They constantly made jokes and slandered the two. McCain and Palin were made to look stupid, old, racist, bigoted, and lying incompetents. But perhaps the most damning statement about this type of 'newscasts' was what they purposely omitted from the conversations. During this entire time there was not one mention of Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. Since late last week the most important story to hit the news except for the financial mess was the voter fraud exposed in ACORN. Everyone on television, on the radio and in the papers is talking about the Obama connection with ACORN except MSNBC, such an appalling omission for a 'news' medium. So Stooges if you want to whip up this little three-hour dessert for your liberal Kool-Aid Kids, "May We Have Some Nuts On That?" Otherwise, well, your just Pravda behind a pale disguise.
In closing here is Olbermann's new/old McCain. They didn't have time to mention ACORN but this was Countdown's Number One Story for the night.
Olbermann:
And now, our No. 1 story on the COUNTDOWN, McCain as Gollum in "Lord of the Rings."
The easiest McCain caricature, morphing as perceived by "New York Times" columnist Gail Collins. "Remember how we used to joke about John McCain looking like an old guy yelling at kids to get off his lawn? It's only in retrospect that we can see the 'keep off the grass' period was McCain campaign's golden era. Now he's beginning to act like one of those movie characters who steals the wrong ring and turns into a troll.
"During the last debate, while he was wondering around the stage, you almost expected to hear him start muttering, 'We wants it. We needs it. Must have the precious'."

Gollum
MSNBC and The New York Times are nothing but a murder of malicious crows.
Semper Fi,
Mike

Mike: right on the money. Here in Baghdad AFN tries to give equal time to all political pursuasions. Unfortunately, we get Keith at noon so I always get takeout from the dining facility. Fortunately, Keith is followed by O'Reilly, which is like antiacid. Keep up the good work.

Mike, I am only part way through, but have to get on with my day. I will look forward to reading the rest of this later. It is funny that you label Obama "Messiah", since we really don't know what his religion is, do we? Maybe you are trying to stress that point, but that label made me laugh and laugh. If he were a woman, we would make sure he had multiple tubes of lipstick, one for each face. OK, I'm starting to sound like a talking head. Keep up the good work. Let's have some humor and get off this political stuff for awhile. After all, the WORLD is inundated with it, and we need a break! ta ta.

Mike, As they say in politics "Another home run, out of the park". I cannot agree with you more. What scares me is there are a lot of people who believe in Obama. We will be in a sorry state if he takes the White House.
Very seldom do I tune into MSNBC or CNN. They all appear to be super liberal bozos! In a way I am glad that I am in my twilight years and will not see this country in another 20-30 years!(If we still have a country)?

Great job! My suggestion is that you STOP watching that crap! I can't believe that these folks are still calling themselves journalists. They have obviously forgotten that whole 'unbiased reporting of the news' thing! Every time Obama says that he was '8 when Ayers was bombing~ so how could they be palling around'~ I want to puke! It's obvious that McCain is referring to the work they did together in Chicago~ and yet he refuses to address this. Wouldn't it just be dandy to have William Ayers as the head of the Department of Education~ not out of the question since he is a professor of education at the University of Illinois--Chicago. Now THAT'S Scary! Keep writing, Michael~ You're the voice of reason in this sea of chaos~ your comments and questions give the rest of us something to hang on to, to keep from drowning in liberalism.
