Art. III Sec. 3: Treason

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two witnesses to the same overt Act, or on confession in open Court.

From The Constitution Of The United States

By now most of you have heard that the United States has charged an American citizen, Adam Yehiye Gadahn, age 28, with treason. He was raised on a goat farm in Riverside, California, were his name was Adam Pearlman. Riverside is not far from Los Angeles, which is not far from Hollywood. His father was a rock guitarist before he started the goat farm and young Adam spent some time in a heavy metal group. After being raised in a Jewish-Christian home he converted to Islam in 1997 at the age of 17. Apparently this boy wants to cover most all of his religious options. I mean just think of all the holidays this kid gets to celebrate. Also, I think some Southern California university should study this family and try to determine what would lead a rock guitarist father and his heavy metal band member son to switch careers so radically to a goat farmer and an Islamic terrorist? Maybe it is just that California water?

Adam then left to live in Pakistan, where he is now still believed to be, as he has had a number of supporting roles in movies for Al Qaida. He doesn’t mess around either as he only works with the big names in the business, like that tall leading man Osama bin Laden and his side kick, Ayman al-Zawahri, the number two Al Qaida hit man on the terrorist theaters’ marquee.

Adam has built up somewhat of a fan base and has been nicknamed “Azzam al-Amriki” or “Azzam The American.” The newspapers called this “his nom de guerre” but I don’t know what that means so we’ll stick with calling it his nickname. Azzam The American, sounds like a character from Marvel Comics doesn’t it? Now I have read some of the charges against him and they are very serious accusations. But lets just suppose for a moment that Azzam the American was just another young American boy who wanted to break into the movies. I mean it was either that or stay on a goat farm. Getting into ‘The Business’ is very tough to do here in America, so there is a long history of American actors who went overseas to get that ‘Big Break.’ Clint Eastwood with his Spaghetti Westerns in Italy instantly comes to mind. To say that Azzam The American chose unwisely by looking for his big break in of all places, Pakistan, would however be putting it mildly. So, okay, unless Azzam went to Pakistan looking for that REAL goat cheese because he was tired of the imitation Riverside, California stuff, we can all agree that Azzam here is not the brightest bulb on the porch. In fact this bulb had burned out about eleven years ago.

However even though he is the first American to be charged with treason in fifty years, he is not the first American to appear in a propaganda movie or photos with our enemies in that time. Nor is he the first to speak out against America while in the company of those with whom we are at war. He is not the first American to tell our soldiers to lay down their arms and/or to join our enemies. He is not the first American while in the presence of our enemies to call our military and our leaders criminals. He is not the first American to praise our enemies in their fight against us. He is not the first American to openly state that he is working for and or hopes for the defeat of our Armed Forces by those with which we at war. And unlike some others in the past, he did not meet with representatives of our enemies to negotiate the unconditional surrender of the United States. Plus these others who came before him are far more famous. Now I agree with these charges that have been brought against him and I hope that he will be prosecuted to the full extent of our laws. But why does Adam Pearlman/Adam Yehiye Gadahn, alias Azzam The American get indicted but not these more famous others? Well, you’ve got me, because I don’t have a clue?

For those of you who are under, dear God dare I say it, forty years of age, you may not know of whom I speak. I am sad to say that there were many Americans who did exactly what Azzam The American is currently doing but they committed their treasonous acts way back in those ancient times of the Vietnam War. As there were so many of these traitors, for the sake of time and space, I will simply narrow it down to the two most famous and still most active culprits.

Azzam The American, allow me to introduce you to Jane Fonda, alias Hanoi Jane, and her good buddy, Massachusetts Senator John Kerry, alias Hanoi John.

Like Azzam The American both of these traitors are in the movies. Hanoi John made all of his movies during his brief appearance in Vietnam. Very talented fellow too because he not only starred in them he wrote and directed them as well. They didn’t do much box office though until he started running for political office. I think most of his stuff went directly to DVD. As talented as he may be he didn’t come off too well on the big screen so most of his stuff is only shown in short clips on TV every four years. Not much on dialogue neither as he is mainly an action hero so they add a lot of voice over narration. From what I understand he shot more miles of film, starring himself of course, than Hanoi Jane and her famous father Henry put together. My main concern about Hanoi John ever being elected President is that I am sure we would all be subjected to a continuous showing of his movies on a TMC weekend marathon. By Monday we would all be brain dead and wannabe Rambo’s. Much like Hanoi John himself. But that is enough about him. If you would like to read more follow this link:

But make sure you are sitting comfortably for although I believe that it is an interesting read, it is a rather lengthy piece where I got a bit carried away during the 2004 Presidential Campaign.

The anti-war/anti-American community back in the Sixties and early Seventies were a close nit, radical and a very vocal bunch of rascals and none more so than America’s little darling Barbarella. Already an American icon because of her famous father, Henry Fonda, she was making her own mark in the movies by becoming every teenage boy’s dream girl along with a girl next-door image falsely implanted in the minds of Moms and Dads. She was after all Hank’s beautiful little girl, as Hank not only portrayed such American heroes as Young Mr. Lincoln, Tom Joad, Wyatt Earp and Lt. Col. Owen Thursday, he was also a close personal friend of the ultimate conservative American, John Wayne. The Duke used to bounce young Lady Jane* on his knee. With these credentials little Jane just had to be an All-American Sweetheart, right? Wrong. When Jane hit the big time she spoke out against just about everything that was American, except of course, making the big bucks in the movies. I think this has a lot to do with why she is so vilified in the memory of some Americans. They fell in love with Hank’s beautiful daughter and she broke their hearts by betraying us to our enemies. While young Americans were dying on the battlefields of Vietnam Lady Jane was busy traveling around the country protesting the Vietnam War, criminalizing our soldiers and defaming our leaders.

In 1970 she and Donald Sutherland formed the FTA Tour (or Free The Army, a play on the phrase, F*# k The Army) and interviewed troops at West Coast military towns about their feelings on going to Vietnam. Selected interviews were then compiled and made into the propaganda film F.T.A criticizing the war and released in 1972. I can mention Sutherland now without my oldest son getting mad at me because Sutherland just recently dropped out of the movie that my son is working on in Scottsdale. No, my son is not a big shot, yet, but he has landed a job as a production assistant. He has always wanted to get into ‘The Business’, and I thank God he didn’t see the need to go to Pakistan to do so.

Also in 1970 Lady Jane, after giving a speech at a protest rally held by the VVAW, (Vietnam Veteran’s Against the War) was made their Honorary National Coordinator as she promised to raise funds for that organization. She then did just that by touring college campuses across our nation. In 1972 Hank’s darling daughter joined John Kerry and other anti-war dignitaries in a little pleasure trip to Paris to meet with the NLF, (National Liberation Front) or as we Vietnam Veterans knew them, the Viet Cong. At this meeting she told the NLF, and I quote from the translated transcripts, Many of us have seen evidence proving the Nixon administration has escalated the war, causing death and destruction, perhaps as serious as the bombing of Hiroshima.” From Paris she went to London were she made speeches accusing the US military of using torture against the VC and NVA. What a gal.

Lady Jane was not done embarrassing herself or our country as she then travelled to Hanoi, North Vietnam in 1972. And thus Lady Jane became forevermore Hanoi Jane. There she again met with officials of the government that was at war with her country and who was killing her fellow countrymen. She met with American POW’s and once back on American shores she proudly reported that our POW’s were in good health and were not being tortured or mistreated by their honourable captors. Of course once our POW’s were released and the truth of their torture and cruel treatment was revealed Hanoi Jane called the POW’s, “hypocrites and liars.” She added, "These were not men who had been tortured. These were not men who had been starved. These were not men who had been brainwashed." In a 1973 New York Times interview she stated, "I'm quite sure that there were incidents of torture... but the pilots who were saying it was the policy of the Vietnamese and that it was systematic, I believe that's a lie."

Always the publicity hound Hanoi Jane consented to having her photograph taken on an NVA anti-aircraft gun. She later said that this was a mistake, much later I may add, in 1988 or about 16 years after her crime of treason and the war was over. However she also stated that although she regretted the taking of these pictures on that gun, she did not regret anything else from her past concerning her anti-war activities. Hanoi Jane also had a radio speech broadcast on North Vietnamese radio.

So now Azzam The American has been charged with treason. But if the Hanoi J-J’s and all those others can get away with what they did, what on earth has Azzam done that was so much worse that he would be indicted? Well lets see.

According to the indictment Azzam has made at least four videos for Al Qaida in which, he warns Americans to convert to Islam or die, praises the terrorists who have carried out the attacks of 9-11, told our armed forces to lay down their arms and convert to Islam, and in referring to the London and Madrid bombings stated, “yesterday …tomorrow Los Angeles and Melbourne.” In my opinion his actions and statements are worthy of his indictment. But even more so were the actions and statements of Hanoi Jane and Hanoi John.

Azzam The American and the Hanoi J-J’s all have given “aid and comfort” to our enemies during a time of war. Their actions and words were witnessed by more than two people who would be more than willing to testify. But while Azzam left our country to join our enemies, Fonda and Kerry mostly remained inside our borders to organize and recruit others who would disrupt our government in the prosecution of a war with a foreign nation. They spoke out at rallies, on radio broadcasts, on film and Kerry, under oath, gave false testimony before the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations concerning the conduct of our military in Vietnam.

Kerry’s Testimony: http://www.c-span.org/2004vote/jkerrytestimony.asp

Yes, Adam Pearlman/Adam Yehiye Gadahn, alias Azzam The American deserves to be charged and prosecuted. But so do Hanoi Jane, Hanoi John and a dozen others from the Vietnam era. We do not yet know the harm or effect that Azzam The American will have on this current war. But it is beyond a doubt that the words, deeds and actions of the anti-war activists like Fonda and Kerry, added thousands of names to The Wall by giving aid and comfort to North Vietnam. There is no Statute of Limitations on Treason.

It seems to me that the biggest mistake Azzam The American has made was that of being born forty years too late. Otherwise instead of looking at the hangman’s noose the only worries he would have facing him in the future would be what he would say upon being sworn in as a Senator from Massachusetts, or in his acceptance speech for winning an Oscar.

See--- I TOLD you you needed to get this published!!

BTW, In looking at those pics of Hanoi Jane, she's not very attractive. My guess is since her life was so surreal, she just thought this was fake. Just another movie. Boy the actors they got to play the North Vietnamese are SOOO realistic!!

How did she happen to get to travel to North Vietnam??? Who pulled the strings for her to be there???

      You're a gem, Michael!! Keep writing!! :->
