| The Headline read: "Under fire, Obama clarifies small-town remarks "
Obama is under fire? I thought Hillary was the one who supposedly had been under fire, by snipers no less.

| America is a dreamer. We are a country that was founded on a dream, a dream that had existed within man since his first conceptions of government. It was a dream of self-rule, of personal freedoms, of the right for every human being to pursue happiness in their existence and of the simple, basic belief that all men were created equal. The concepts that every man was created equal and that we all had the right to pursue happiness had never before been considered in any other form of government.

| This is it folks, as much as I love America, today I start thinking about looking for a new homeland because the one we’re living in now has gone wacko. Where once I thought the residents of Wackoville were only in Washington D. C., and with just cause because of the Supreme Court’s ruling of POW status for the terrorist criminals, I now discover that the Zanies* who rule with imputative insanity have spread to Manhattan and El Paso. How else can you explain what is going on in our courts? How else except with a plea of insanity, not by the defendants but by the attorneys, jurors and judges. How else without such inept lunacy can you explain that on Tuesday last, a female radical lawyer, a US citizen named Lynne Stewart, was convicted of passing instructions from her convicted terrorist client to his murderous terrorist underlings in Egypt who have declared war on the United States of America, but she receives only two and one half years for her treason? Then, a mere forty-eight hours later, while seemingly not wanting to fall behind in this rush to utter madness another deranged court in El Paso hands out an eleven-year sentence and a twelve-year sentence to two US Border Patrol Agents, Ignacio "Nacho" Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean, for shooting a known drug smuggler in the buttocks as the smuggler tried to escape! That’s why I am thinking about looking for a new home. This isn’t America anymore, land of the free, home of the brave, with liberty and JUSTICE for all. Our country has indeed become Americo, land of the free loader; home of the politically correct bleeding heart simple-minded, with liberty and justice only for those who break our laws |

| Last weekend was the start of the 87th season of the National Football League. My sons don’t believe me but I was not around when it started. However, I do know a little about how much the pro game has changed and unfortunately the change has not always been for the better. So from an old football fanatic here are ten things I would like to see changed in today’s game. Of course you may or may not agree. |

| I must admit that I haven’t been keeping up on this continuing story of immigration activist Elvira Arellano. I figured that when the government sent in the police to drag her out of the church it would make the headlines of all the major television networks and news channels and so I would know about it soon enough. I also figured, correctly, that she would not be dragged out of her sanctuary, kicking and screaming about her violated ‘American civil rights’, any time soon. However, tonight I did a little Google search on this subject and so I wasn’t all that surprised to find that Elvira is still sitting in her new home holding news conferences on a daily biases. |

| At sometime in our lives every one of us has had the misfortune of running into a bully. Either as a witness to some brutish terrorism of another, or perhaps unfortunately, a meeting with one on a more personal note. So it will be understood in this little conversation that we all know what a bully is and what they do for fun and profit. |

| We are in trouble. When I say we, I mean you and I America so don’t go looking for that proverbial frog in my pocket. This isn’t a simple problem that can be handled over night either. It is a problem that has been building for years, a problem that has had many causes and effects. A problem that if we don’t get a handle on what has been happening in this great land of ours we sure as hell will not be around for another 200 years. |

| We all have things that we wish for at one time or another. Unfortunately we also all know that most of our wishes do not come true. But that does not mean we have to stop wishing, dreaming, or hoping that they will someday. So with the eternal hope of a four-year-old at Christmas waiting for Santa, and with heartfelt apologies to David ‘The Man’ Letterman, here are the ten things that I would like to see come true, at least for today. |

| There was an interesting article today in the Chicago Tribune:
It was about a woman who has taken sanctuary in a church in order not to be deported, a second time. |

| Long ago during the American Civil War General W. T. Sherman said, “War is Hell.” No truer words have ever been spoken. War kills, men, women and children. War reduces not only the existing generation that is burdened with the fighting of the war but it also exterminates a percentage of the future generations to follow. War is destructive, not only in human life but also in natural and man made resources. War cost vast amounts of money. Money which could be far better put to use improving man’s lot than destroying his future. Yet man has been engaged in this hell on earth since his time began and there is no end in sight. With this in mind, I apologize to you now for the political leaders of our government for not learning the hard earned lessons of our history, or if indeed once learned, than for not remembering. Especially those terrible lessons of war in the first half of the last century. |

On July 11th members of the Mujahedeen Shura Council, read terrorist, released a video of your tortured bodies along with a statement that they did this to you in revenge for the alleged rape and murders of Iraqi civilians that were committed by soldiers from your unit. It did not seem to matter that the three of you were not even in Iraq when these crimes were supposed to be committed. It did not matter that this statement only came after the reports of this alleged crime and the impending investigation by the U.S. Army had already been announced weeks after your brutal killings. Nor did it matter that this statement was only a ploy by the terrorists to justify their cruelty and to boast of their supposed Islamic manhood. This statement from them received more attention in our news media than the terrible details of your own murders. In the statement the terrorists bragged of how they had “controlled their anger,” “bided their time,” until they could take revenge on the American soldiers who were responsible for these alleged crimes, and our news media ate it up. For this and so many other instances in our media, government and entertainment communities, I add the next part of my apology. |

| Some of you who are reading this may not know of the young men to whom I am offering this apology. But you should. They were young American soldiers who were killed in Iraq.
David J. Babineau was 25 years old, a loving husband and devoted father to his 8-year-old stepdaughter and his two sons ages 2 and 4. He died in a firefight as his two Brothers-in-Arms were taken prisoner by the Islamic terrorists who attacked their checkpoint on June 16th of this year.
Thomas L. Tucker was also 25 years old when he and Kristian Menchaca, just 23 years of age, were dragged away from that checkpoint and spent the last few hours of their young lives being brutally tortured and then savagely murdered. Kistian left behind a grieving young widow and an infant son
